The Renault Master is the largest offering in the Renault line-up. It is a popular and versatile van offered in a wide range of configurations to suit most needs. It's solidly built and dependable, This is neither the cheapest nor the most expensive option, but strikes a good compromise between performance and affordability

All models are offered with diesel engines. The short-wheelbase versions are offered with a 1.9-litre unit with 80bhp. Most models though are fitted with either 2.5 or 3.0-litre capacity units in a range of outputs. There are 100 and 120bhp versions of the 2.5 and the 3.0-litre unit has 140bhp. All models are fitted with a five-speed gearbox and the two most powerful units can be specified with a six-speed manual too. The 2.5-litre engine is also offered with a six-speed sequential automatic gearbox. Finally, the Master range is mostly front-wheel driven, but there are rear-wheel drive versions offered for those carrying particularly heavy loads.
