The new Citroen Berlingo that was launched this year beats its old incarnation in many ways.
There will be two load lengths and in the cab it's the only van in this sector - along with its twin brother the Peugeot Partner - to offer three seats. Load volume goes from 3.0 cubic metres in the old model to between 3.3 cu m and 4.1 cu m - that's more than was offered in the old Dispatch.
Payload ranges from 625kg to 850kg - again an improvement on the old model - although Citroen's 1.6HDi diesel unit is carried over, along with a petrol and LPG version. Citroen also
offers a free Trafficmaster sat-nav unit and tracking device, which could help sway a buying decision over the Peugeot rival. The old Berlingo continues on sale as the Berlingo One.
